Islamic Relief Pakistan hosted a reception dinner in the honor of CEO Islamic Relief Worldwide Mr. Naser Haghamed who is currently in Pakistan.

CEO Islamic Relief Worldwide Mr. Naser Haghamed, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal Mr. Aon Abbas Buppi, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mr. Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat, Deputy Head of The Department for International Development (DFID) Pakistan Kemi Williams, Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan Mr. Umair Hasan along with Ambassadors, government institution representatives, U.N officials and development sector experts were present at the occasion.

CEO Islamic Relief Worldwide Mr. Nasir Haghamed, while commending the efforts of the government, reaffirmed Islamic Relief’s commitments to contribute towards Climate change adaptation initiatives at policy at community level. He also enlightened the gathering regarding faith perspective on dignity of orphans and women”.

Addressing the ceremony, chief guest, Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal lauded the efforts of Islamic Relief Pakistan for development in Pakistan. He said that “Islamic Relief Pakistan is strengthening the vulnerable community through orphan sponsorship for children, while tangible efforts have been taken for empowering widows through skill development.

Talking about the collaboration with Islamic Relief Pakistan, he said “We believe that together with Islamic Relief, we can serve the communities in a better way. We are identifying new areas of mutual interests”.

While addressing the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Mr. Muhammad Hamza Shafqaat appreciated Islamic Relief Pakistan’s effort in its service to humanity, especially the work in Islamabad for uplifting street Children and making their families skilled.

Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan, Mr. Umair Hasan emphasized on the need of stronger connection between government, civil societies and communities to address the prevailing issues. He appreciated the trust and confidence of donor in Islamic Relief to deliver on the commitments.
