Climate Sensitive Livelihood Modelling (CSLM)

The Climate Sensitive Livelihood Modeling (CSLM) project spans over 30 months and focuses on enhancing community resilience in coastal areas of Sindh province, specifically Thatta and Karachi districts, against the impacts of Climate Change. The project targets UCs in District Karachi (Malir) including UC Khuldabad and UC Samo Goth, as well as UCs in District Thatta including UC Kakrand & UC Khagan.

Objectives

Strengthening

communities in the coastal belt to adapt to Climate Change impacts, particularly in sectors like food security, livelihoods, water management, and social services.

Enhancing

the capacity of local government and line departments to improve service delivery and establish strong community connections for effective climate adaptation planning.

Collaborating

with think tanks, researchers, civil society, and academia to facilitate knowledge exchange, bridge gaps, and guide local stakeholders in reducing disaster impacts, building resilience, and implementing policy-supported interventions.
