Advocacy is the work we do to influence the policies of governments, international institutions and the private sector leading to actions, in order to achieve positive changes in the lives of communities we serve. Implementation; and/or creating an enabling environment for change.
Our advocacy and campaign work build on the insights generated by our strategic programmes around the world. We know that we can only sustain the impact of our programmes, and take that impact to scale, by persuading and challenging governments and other institutions with power and resources to change their own policies and practice. Advocacy encompasses research and policy analysis, lobbying, communications and public campaigning.
Islamic Relief Pakistan is currently implementing a nationwide campaign Voices Organized for Climate Change, Advocacy and Lobbying (VOCAL) designed to bring onboard all civil society, Academia, Government and all other stakeholders to agree on a uniform stance against climate change.”
