We believe in supporting communities to be able to help themselves by setting up sustainable businesses, enabling them to earn an honest livelihood.
Islamic Relief has provided microfinance services to almost 70,000 people in Pakistan, whom often do not have access to banking services.
Interest-free loans are provided in the form of Qarz –e-Hassana and business investment/ capital called Modaraba (A type of partnership, with a person having skill, to carry out any business) to entrepreneurs to procure necessary supplies for carrying out their business.
In addition to financial support we also provide start-up grants and vocational and enterprise development training. The key features of the programme are economic empowerment of women and youth self-employment.
