Islamic Relief Pakistan called on the Honourable Governor of Balochistan, Justice (R) Amanullah Yasinzai. We provided a briefing on our programmes in Balochistan, specifically humanitarian and development projects.

We have been active in Balochistan for almost two decades now.

Around 2 million people have been assisted by us throughout our time in this part of Pakistan.

The meeting also covered our emergency response to the recent drought and flash floods.

The Governor was informed about the drought framework developed by the government with technical assistance from us. We affirmed that we will continue to provide technical assistance and expertise for the government.

We will also help create coherent policies and practices as well as helping build community resilience to climate shocks.
