Health & Nutrition

In major disaster situations and weakened public health systems, we have supported governmental efforts to provide primary health care services including essential healthcare for mothers and children. With this support, we have made public health centers functional and addressed immediate health needs of multiple communities.

We have supported existing governmental health initiatives to reach communities that have limited health services. We have also established referral systems with secondary and tertiary health services. Lactating mothers and pregnant women have received urgent care, whilst communities that have been struck by natural disasters have received psycho-social counselling.

In the remotest parts of Pakistan where eye care services are non-existent, we have strengthened government eye care facilities to provide essential services to communities. We have also invested in improving the capability of local paramedics to sustain these services.

We have also visited schools to screen children for eye diseases so that serious eye illness can be diagnosed and treated at an early stage
