The Road to Impact

In a bid to strengthen our ties and to make partnerships more effective with government line departments and authorities, a two day workshop was organized on 23rd and 24th February, 2022 in Lahore, provincial capital of Punjab.

Titled “Humanitarian Development Programming in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa”, the training helped in highlighting the challenges and the coping mechanisms in the context of climate change and disaster risk reduction (DRR). With participants from the District Management Group, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (KP) and other line departments; a mutual course of action was agreed upon for effective and timely humanitarian responses.

Deputy Chairman, Senate of Pakistan Mirza Muhammad Afridi and Founder of Emergency Reforms in Pakistan, DG Rescue 1122 Dr. Rizwan Naseer addressed the participants on the opening day and shared their thoughts meanwhile emphasizing on the need for coherence between all stakeholders for a joint action plan.
