Strengthening trust among communities

Islamic Relief Pakistan (IRP) is working in the newly merged tribal districts of Pakistan for the rehabilitation and development of returnees. Ranging from food security to access to safe drinking water, IRP has also supported the local population with economic opportunities alongside Ramadan and Qurbani programmes.

In most recent efforts, we are focusing on community level resilience, development and conflict prevention activities within the newly merged districts (NMD). We believe that through engagements and dialogues, peace can prevail in these areas.

IRP is conducting workshops in tribal districts Orakzai and Khyber with peace committee members, tribal elders, youth and civil society organisations, representatives of farmers and journalists.

These workshops are aimed at strengthening social bonds, cohesion and resolving conflicts among tribes.
