As climate change continues to change lives forever, Islamic Relief is carrying out meaningful efforts to create a better and safer future.

Islamic Relief Pakistan organized a one-day conference “Provincial Conference on Resource Mobilization & Reflection of Sindh Budget in Context of Climate Change Impacts” in collaboration with SPO (Strengthening Participatory Organization) under umbrella of Sindh Climate Action Network (SCAN).

The conference was aimed at addressing the issues of resource mobilization and aligning the budget with effective measures to combat climate change and its far-reaching consequences in the province of Sindh.

The conference provided a platform for key stakeholders including financial experts and policymakers to discuss the current situation of Sindh in relation to climate change, financial allocation, and the way forward for 2023-24 focusing upon agriculture, water resource management, forestry and livestock.

Emphasizing upon the need for an annual green budget, the conference concluded with a “Charter of Demand” was represented in reflection of the findings and recommendations by participants.
