Islamic Relief Pakistan launches drive to get more children in schools
Islamic Relief Pakistan under its Protection of Children at Risk (POCAR) project in Rawalpindi launched the School Enrolment Drive 2019 for street children in non-formal basic education schools and formal schools.
Our project is in collaboration with the Department for Education, the Government of Punjab, and the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi.
Ms. Maleeha Jamal, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rawalpindi, inaugurated the enrolment drive. Our Country Director, Mr. Umair Hasan, was also present at the occasion.
Islamic Relief Pakistan is committed to addressing the issues of child protection by identifying and focusing on their basic needs such as food, education, psychosocial support. As well a strengthened social support mechanisms through a community led approach.
Islamic Relief is amplifying the voices of these vulnerable groups in society and enabling them to deal with these challenges.
