Bridging Policy and Practice for Climate Resilience

Islamic Relief Pakistan had a meeting with Pakistan Institute of Development Economics-PIDE, one of the country’s leading policy think tanks, to explore synergies and potential collaboration around Climate Change, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), and Disaster Risk Management (DRM), with a particular focus on Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK).

The discussion brought together the perspectives of field practitioners and policy researchers, highlighting the urgent need for locally grounded, evidence-based, and forward-looking approaches to address climate-induced disasters in vulnerable and disaster-prone regions.

We look forward to building on this alignment to co-create impactful solutions that protect communities and strengthen climate resilience.
