ENGAGING STAKEHOLDERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF), a platform of 62 international non-governmental organizations, is purposed for strengthening relations with government, influencing donor community in terms of emerging humanitarian needs in the country and interfacing with UN agencies.

Its chair is annually put in place through an electoral process. In the current year, IRP is heading the forum. It provides unique and strategic opportunity for IRP to sustain and build partnerships. At the same time, it is quite challenging to take up the prevailing issues related to ingos registration with concerned authorities in Pakistan.

For this, Pakistan Humanitarian Forum (PHF) hosted an Iftar dinner in Islamabad for government officials, donor representatives and ambassadorial staff. Representatives from DFID, ECHO, German Embassy, USAID, Norwegian Embassy, UN agencies and ingos graced the occasion.

Country Director Islamic Relief Pakistan and Chair PHF Mr. Zain Ul. Abedin addressed the occasion and emphasized the role of PHF.

“We collectively raised 438 million USD to reach 34 million people with humanitarian relief and development assistance during 2017”
